Nope, facehuggers are first shown late in the novel during Alien: Resurrection (this is Alien 2) where story starts with them and escaping before bursting is main mission.

i saw fumetsu no anata e and this anime arrived at the same time, and decided to watch it first, because for some reason i like this anime a little more xd but ffs why they ended the ep like that?? oh god... now a long week of waiting is ahead of me.
(maybe it will be not that long tho, because this season we will get some really good anime!)

This is a bit better than Fumetsu because the stakes and risks are high for all parties and there's tension in the atmosphere.

Whereas, in Fumetsu the tone of the show is very PG13 even during a death scene it still feels 'safe' because you know the MC is immortal and won't completely die.

It would need to be around 3-4 hours long in order not to end like that. Alien 2 (at least in Novel) is about twice as long as first movie (Resident Evil)
